Linda Edna Cardellini is the daughter of Lorraine (Hernan), a mother, and Wayne David Cardellini (a father) and a businessman. Linda is of Italian origins (her paternal grandfather), Irish, German, English and Scottish (her mother). Linda grew up living in her native San Francisco Bay area, California, the youngest of four children.
